Cybercab Parts & Tests, 5th Caisson, E Clearing Grows Larger. 3 Nov 2025 Giga Texas Update (08:15AM)

From Joe Tegtmeyer.

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!

Gorgeous day to fly on the week of the historic Shareholder Meeting with plenty to see around the site including new construction sites, a 5th new Caisson on the S end, progress at the electrical switchyard expansion including more trenching and conduit installation, steel assembly, more vaults, & site cleanup.

At Cortex 2, we see a growing section of screw-type piers being installed along the southwest side of the building while large sections of the underground conduit has had the dirt filled back in. On the east side of Cortex 2, new excavations, a grouping of electrical conduit risers, more pier construction in a new location and the staging yard has been moved to the west side. Lots more to see today!

In the video introduction, we discuss many recent developments with the Cybercab, including a Tesla Tradition of having a Cybercab drive to an In-and-Out burger.

This may seem strange at first, but this tradition indicates the transition from the product residing in the engineering department and stage of development to the production teams at the factory. This is consistent with what we are seeing at Giga Texas as almost all the production equipment that has been delivered to the site has now been moved inside and installed.

We also go over many recent, higher resolution images both here at Giga Texas and in California so we can get a good sense at how the Cybercabs have changed from Prototype to near production ready pre-production versions. I show many of the visible changes and differences using before and after images and callouts.

We also hear directly from Elon Musk about the question of a steering wheel and pedals in Cybercabs, as this topic has been a hot one in the Tesla community lately. Elon clearly said no and reiterated this when pressed on the topic in the recent All-In Podcast.

However, I know some people are still trying to figure out if this truly excludes this option or not given recent comments by Robyn Denholm, the Board Chair of Tesla. I use the entire video clip and Elons comments so you can decide for yourself.

The final piece of news that pertains to Giga Texas is a recent posting by Elon Must and Tesla North America that said a Tesla Diner will be built at Giga Texas and the Palo Alto Engineering Headquarter sites.

I cannot say for sure, but there is a large section of land directly across the highway from the main entrance that is designated for a new Welcome Center and very close to the Direct Delivery Center. Perhaps this is a great location for this new Diner?
