EV Charging Trial: National Grid Utility Poles in Melrose MA on ampUp Network

In this quick trip video, we make the short drive to Melrose, MA, where the town and utility have installed a number of new charging stations unlike any other around Greater Boston and much of the USA. The connector is a regular old level two J1772, but it lives 10ft or so off the ground on a utility pole.

We take a look at the ampUp network on which these new stations are hosted, walk through the app, and answer the glaring question: how do we get that connector down from there?? We’ll also share the wrong way to return them to the housing…
