From Transport Evolved.
For as long as custom cars have existed, we’ve seen clever engineers and enthusiasts shoehorn new, powerful engines into classic cars.
Sometimes, automakers like Ford, General Motors and Stellantis even design drop-in kits that will give a timeless classic a more powerful, more reliable power plant.
But at the Portland International Auto show, we got to see a crate motor swap unlike any we’ve seen Ford offer before: An all-electric crate motor swap, using the same motors, power electronics and battery packs found in the production Ford Mustang Mach E – transplanted into an iconic F100 pickup.
The result? The Ford F100 Custom.
