Nissan’s long-awaited follow-up to the LEAF lands in the UK later this year.

When the Nissan LEAF first appeared in 2011, many thought that it would mark the start of a new range of all-electric cars from the Japanese brand. At the time, it was the only mass-produced electric car on the market and Nissan had a considerable head-start in terms of technical know-how.

But while the LEAF has made a huge impact in the electric car market and has helped more than half a million drivers make the switch, we’ve had to wait an awfully long time for its follow-up to arrive.

Now, 11 years after the first LEAF arrived, we’re about to welcome another all-electric Nissan in the form of the all-new Ariya. Should you have your name on the order books?
