Description:
Today I’m testing the Volvo EX30 Cross Country Twin Motor (428 hp) at top speed (GPS ~180 km/h) on a derestricted Autobahn.
With its 65 kWh battery, cold winter temperatures and limited power availability, this is a perfect test to see:
• How stable the EX30 is at 180 km/h
• Real consumption at top speed
• How quickly the battery drains
• Why full power is often not available in winter
• How performance mode behaves at low or cold SOC
• Whether 180 km/h is realistic on longer journeys
This test was filmed at –2°C with winter tyres. Despite its high power, the EX30 struggles with battery temperature, charging heat, and winter efficiency — but drives surprisingly stable at high speed.
