From Alex on Autos.
2025 is a big year for Fords biggest vehicle(s) as the Expedition (and Expedition Max) step into the future with a new look, a new interior, and new functionality. Is everything new? No, but in a good way. You’ll still find the 3.5l turbocharged V6 with two available power outputs and both ample seating and storage capacity throughout. From the outside some of the more noticeable features include the black panel on the back hatch (which seems to draw some different opinions from folks), the redesigned front end, and all the new accents that come with the new Tremor trim.
Inside the obvious transformation has happened in the dash with a two tier display layout topped with the new 24 inch panoramic driver screen. This blends the usual gauge cluster with the positioning of a Heads Up Display and is reminiscent of some of the larger screens found over in Lincoln models but without being quite so expansive. In an effort to make viewing of this screen Ford has said goodbye to the steering "wheel" of old and has leaped forward into the world of oval wheels so you can look over the wheel instead of through it to see how fast you’re going. The changes aren’t all just for show because not only do we get more capability in that Tremor trim but we also have useful touches like the standard split gate at the back (giving us a hatch AND a tailgate) as well as the availability of a nifty 40/20/40 third row seat to provide lots of options when it comes to using the space in the back of your ‘Dition.
