Mercedes has a number of different plug in hybrid systems, but the one in the E53 is my favorite for how powerful, smooth, and just easy to live with it is. The 6-cylinder engine is less controversial and less complex than the 4-cylinder PHEV system in the C63, but… it just doesn’t "feel" like an AMG engine…
