Tesla Model Y Refresh – Easiest DIY PPF For New Model Y Juniper (Easier Than Old Model Y!!)

I have completely wrapped my new Refresh Tesla Model Y Juniper with DIY PPF from TesBros and you are going to like this one! After wrapping all of my other cars in PPF, I have learned a lot about PPF, and tried a number of the DIY kits out there. This kit from TesBros is excellent.

The best part about this install was finding out first hand that the refresh Model Y is WAY easier to install than the previous generation Model Y. There are a few reasons for that, but the point is, there has never been a more DIY friendly Model Y than this new style!

With the refresh of the Model Y, the front bumper had a facelift, and with it, the bumper is now more straight edged, does not have the same extended curvatures and tight corners as before. The hood is more squared off, and the rear bumper is now 2 small pieces instead of 1 long piece. These changes make the refresh Model Y easier than before as these areas were the toughest areas to wrap in PPF.

After using a few different PPF kits on the market, I decided to give the TesBros kit a try. This kit is extremely well thought out, and comes packaged so nicely that it’s almost a shame to tear the packaging apart as you go. Everything you need to do the job is included in the kit, and it is all nicely laid out in the packaging for easy access. The kit includes the PPF precut pieces, spray bottles, alcohol, car soap, clay bar, gloves, microfiber towel, microfiber car wash mitt, squeegees, pre-measured soap, and more.

This kit for the Model Y and the Model 3 is pre cut, meaning you install without the need to trim PPF for each panel. The cut is made to be just past the edges, giving you complete protection around corners of the panels. That combined with pre-measured soap makes this a straight forward installation.

TesBros offers their DIY PPF kit in 3 options, Partial Front, Full Front, and Complete vehicle kits. Getting the front of the vehicle protected, where it is most exposed, is at minimum what most people should consider protecting. For me, it’s full coverage so I can run the car through a car wash, not worry about the kids bumping into it in the garage, and people bumping into it in the parkingklot.

Although the kit does come with everything you need, there are 2 additional items I highly recommend getting to enhance the installation and aid in corrections after finished.
