GMC’s Terrain doesn’t break much new ground for 2026, but unless you’re looking for a hybrid or a high performance drivetrain, that’s not too much of a problem…. Except that a growing number of small SUV shoppers *are* looking for a fuel efficient hybrid system, so much so that Toyota’s new RAV4 is 100% hybrid and 1/2 of all CR-Vs sold have Honda’s hybrid system. If you’re not ready to sip fuel and have more power, the Terrain has big screens, a big cargo area, and a boxy design that’s easy on the eyes.
