Has this happened to you? You read/watch a review of, say a Ford Escape where the reviewer regurgitates the spec sheet and announces that it has world-class rear legroom… Then you sit in one and think, gee this is awfully small? Well, there’s a reason for that: it’s the weird way we measure legroom and the fact that some companies game the system to make their cabins look roomier than the competition… On paper that is.
