Join Bethany and I on an EV road trip across Norway’s southern coast in a rented Volkswagen ID.3—exploring some of the world’s most advanced charging infrastructure. From Circle K’s “lab within a lab” with battery-buffered fast charging, to Alpitronic Hyperchargers (HYC 300/400), Kempower satellite systems, Tesla V2 & V3 Superchargers, and Uno-X price boards you can see from the motorway—this route shows why Norway is the global leader in EV adoption.
We drive Oslo → Kongsberg → Grelland → Bamble → Tvedestrand → Lillesand, stopping at hubs with 400 kW truck charging bays, battery-backed microgrids, and some of the most dense EV charging corridors on earth. I also log the full ID.3 fast-charging curve (4% → 80% in ~33 minutes, ~43 kWh added, ~78 kW average).
Prefer fewer time-lapses? Tomorrow I’ll upload a condensed cut with just the charging tours + commentary.
