Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, Cyber Truck the Next Generation Car(s), Cybercab & the Optimus Robot production happens in 2025!
The morning started off with low clouds and mist, but fortunately rapidly improved and by the end of the video became a nice sunny day. Such is the weather patterns in this part of Texas in the early spring! Today.
We get to see more interesting developments and areas of change, along with the return of Cybercab testing and of course the now normal operations of new Model Ys and Cybertrucks autonomously driving from the factory to the W End-of-Line facility!

In the video introduction, I discuss the Cybercab testing and show a few clips of one of them in action along the west and northwest sides of the factory. I did notice at least two Cybercabs were being used today, all driving around the main factory on non-public roads, but having to deal with a multitude of different traffic and obstacles which is likely great training.
I also discuss the recent movement of two large cranes into the footing section of the new Central Campus Support facility construction site on the north near the DIE shop. These cranes were being used to move and place steel beams and columns around the poured footings in preparation of beginning vertical assembly. I also discuss the apparent different heights of the two long perimeter grade beams (wall bases) of the facility, which is an interesting design choice. I’m curious what this will look like once the actual wall panels are installed.
Another update I discuss in the intro has to do with the upcoming Tesal 1st Quarter Financial Results meeting, which is scheduled for next Tuesday, 22 April at 4:30 PM CDT here at Giga Texas. It sounds like in addition to the financial results meeting, a company update with question-and-answer session will be offered as well. I’m curious about this and what we will hear, and it is also interesting that this meeting is on a Tuesday … normally these are on Wednesdays, so another change.
The final update in the Intro is a reminder that next week I’ll be headed to Kennedy Space Center to participate in the Tesla Space Jam event put on by the Florida Tesla Owners Group. I’ve been asked to be a speaker in the space portion of the event, and I’ll be discussing the parallels between the 1920’s state of aviation, fuel depots and aerial refueling to what we can expect in the next 5 to 10 years on orbit with tanker spacecraft and orbital depots.
How will this work, why it is necessary and the parallels to how aerial refueling helped make the USA a dominant aviation player to what we can expect as we move operations more into space.
A few other items in the video today to highlight:
I once again provide drone views and context to where a recent Tesla video clip was made, this time the Cybertrucks entering, driving through and emerging from the Cybertunnel. I provide commentary throughout, pointing out key landmarks along the way to help you better understand how this Boring Company tunnel works with the production of the Cybertrucks.
Plenty more to see in the images and talk about through the main video today! Thank you for watching and I hope this has been informative, educational, and entertaining for you.
