Cybertruck DIY PPF Wrap – Less Than Half the Cost – Satin Black FTW!!!

The Tesla Cybertruck needs no introduction as it burst onto the scene with a bold unapologetic new look. The stainless steel construction is impossible to miss, and compliments the apocalyptic vibe that Elon Musk and Franz set out to deliver.

Quite possibly the most popular thing to do with a Cybertruck after delivery is wrap it! By wrapping the Cybertruck, you can completely change the look of the truck, giving it a customized look and feel.

Vinyl is also the cheaper option of the two, and arguably easier to install. The downside to Vinyl is that it doesn’t last long. After a couple of years the finish will fade, and the thinner more fragile material is susceptible to rips and scratches.

PPF on the other hand is much more durable, usually sporting a 10 year warranty. Now, PPF is available in a multitude of colors, meaning you can bring the color changing abilities of Vinyl and combine them with the strength of PPF.

PPF is more expensive, slightly harder to install, and takes more time to finish. That said, it has a self healing surface, meaning minor scratches will literally melt away in the sun. It has the ability to protect the surface underneath from rocks, scratches and other damage that Vinyl cannot. Now that you can get PPF in colors, PPF is the only way to go if you are planning on keeping your vehicle for any extended period of time, or doing anything rugged.

For our Model Y, we have had it wrapped in PPF since day 1 and have saved the paint from real damage on at least 3 occasions. The protection PPF offers cannot be beat.
