VIkta Energy is a certified Tesla solar roof installer and they recently partnered with a custom home builder in Austin Texas to do the first of its kind Tesla Solar Wall installation. I was invited by the CEO and Owner of Vista Energy, Carson Palmer to visit the nearly completed home and cover this first of.its’ kind solar wall application!

Normally, the Tesla solar roof various components, including the photovoltaic glass panels, matching glass blank panels trim pieces, micro-inverters and underlayment is used on the roofs of houses within a minimum pitch angle, but working with Tesla energy, Vikta was able to design this unique application of using solar roof materials, along with custom fabricated trim pieces to both extend the energy producing surface area of a home and use solar roof shingles as an architectural feature that compliments the style and design of this very modern home.

In addition to the first use of Tesla solar shingles on exterior walls, Vikta Energy also installed a large energy storage system in the form of 12 Tesla Powerwalls and three Tesla Gateways. This grid-tied system allows multiple paths for energy to and from the home and provides a substantial amount of backup power in the event of severe storms and during power outages.
