California now has 48% more EV chargers than gasoline nozzles in the state. What you need to know: California continues to expand the largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network in the country, reaching over 178,000 EV chargers in 2024. This is more than twice as many publicly accessible chargers compared to 2022 and an increase of 26,193 since the last update in August.

Tesla has raised discounts on its legacy Model Y vehicles in the US. As of March 22, 2025, buyers can save up to $8,820 on new ones. That includes a $500 discount from Tesla’s referral program. Demo models now get up to $9,200 off. This push comes as Tesla shifts to the new “Juniper” Model Y and works to sell off the last of the older stock.
