Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!
I’m back flying after a week away to attend the Florida Owners Group Teslacon event in Orlando, Florida! Conditions for flying today were perfect, and so many areas to look at and get updates on progress. There is a lot to see today!

In the video introduction, I summarize the Teslacon event with images, video and commentary. This event was well attended and included live interaction with people around the world using their Tesla’s for adventures off the grid, including one trip headed to the southern-most point of South America. There was a great light show, many guest speakers and round table discussions, demonstrations and direct support by Tesla. Overall, it was a great event to be at!
I also discuss several big news stories for Telsa that have come out recently, First, the Robotaxi service is about to expand to several other states, including Nevada, Florida and Arizona. I also expect to see many new cities in Texas and California, and all of this should happen.
In the next few months. As an indication of Tesla getting prepared, the test app I have for the Robotaxi fleet was just updated again and these updates usually have pre-dated changes to the public and service area. Additionally, I’m hearing information that confirms what I mentioned above … it’s really part of the first major test of the scalability of the Tesla Robotaxi service and we won’t have very much longer to wait!
Tesla has entered into an agreement with Uber Freight for the Semi, and this is big news because this program will help provide predictable growth and optimize utilization by matching carriers & shippers with lower cost EV freight options. Expect to see this rolling out in a big way in 2026 as the production lines begin to ramp up at Giga Nevada!
Speaking of which, I’m documented the departure and transport of large stamping press parts for the Semi production line, all heading to Giga Nevada over the past few months, and in the introduction, I show them arriving at Giga Nevada thanks to Heinrichs Zane (aka @Zangeler) who flies drones over that factory. It’s great to be able to see the start and finish of this long-distance travel of these very important parts for Semi production!
A few highlights from today’s Drone flight:
The electrical switchyard expansion is picking up speed, now with augers drilling pile holes for rebar cages which will be filled with concrete and support footings for the steel superstructure. The two large transformer support slabs and catch basins have been completed and red concrete encasing conduit emanating from the north and south walls of the underground vault has been poured.
Megapack #2 work continues at the north control trailer to finalize connections and testing to allow for the Megapack to be certified and then commissioned. The date for this is still TBD, but the progress here is undeniable.
Cortex 2 facility is getting a lot of ground slab work today, with trenching, pipe installation, yellow moisture barrier in place and other preliminary work being com0leted in several different locations visible through open receiving doors. Roof work also continues, with now about 50% of the final weatherproofing in place, and the crews continue to work from the south to the north.
