From Alex on Autos.
The 2024 / 2025 Dodge Charger replaces both the 2023 Charger and the 2023 Challenger in Dodge’s lineup with 3 and 5 door versions of the same basic car. Yep, no more "short" wheelbase model for the coupe. Instead both the sedan and coupe will share the same basic silhouette, most of the interior, and the engines and motor options. Yep, engines *AND* motors. The first Chargers on sale will be 100% electric with 496 or 670 horsepower, and two doors plus a hatch. Coming later in 2025 we’ll see the electric 5-door models appear followed by gasoline models powered by either 420 or 550 HP 3.0L inline 6 engines. Yep, the era of muscle cars with inline engines has returned, only this time with more power than those old V8s could muster. While we can’t talk about how the new Charger drives yet, we can talk about how it stacks up against the 2-door Dodge in your driveway.
