I took our Tesla Cybertruck to CES 2025 this year, and while I was out there, we decided a little off roading was in order. This trip wasn’t just a normal Cybertruck road trip, it was a good chance to test out long distance travel on the factory tires with all the gear set up on the truck for overlanding.
Part 1 covers the trip to Las Vegas from Orlando, Florida. This part of the trip was something like 2,600 miles, and the solo drive took 2.5 days to complete. Although I had a late start, the trip was pretty uneventful as usual.
Of special note on this trip, efficiency is the focus on reporting. I did nothing different on this trip as far as driving habits goes, so this was a chance to get a real world feel for long distance travel with all the gear set up on the truck.
