The Tesla Model Y has been the world’s best-selling vehicle for two straight years, offering unmatched range, technology, practicality, and performance. But with rivals catching up, Tesla’s midsize crossover needed an update—and it finally got one with the new Model Y Juniper.

The Juniper refresh tackles previous weaknesses, enhancing range, interior quality, comfort, and technology. Visually, it introduces a modern front end inspired by Tesla’s Cybercab, featuring sharper lines and new wheel designs. The rear showcases an innovative full-width light bar that emits diffuse light onto the panel beneath, resembling architectural lighting.

Inside, significant upgrades make the cabin feel higher quality and more comfortable. Heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and rear-seat entertainment are now standard. Tesla’s minimalist style remains, but build quality noticeably improves. The suspension has shifted toward comfort, providing a smoother ride and better handling over imperfections.

Performance-wise, the Dual Motor Long Range delivers 370 horsepower and a 0-62 mph sprint in 4.8 seconds, feeling effortless.

Tesla also introduces clever tech like a self-cleaning camera for improved visibility, though some minimalist choices, like the redesigned turn signal stalk, feel less intuitive.
