From Alex on Autos.
Kia’s K4 is a solid compact sedan if you want good fuel economy, a long warranty, big back seat, lots of tech, standard safety doodads, a reasonable trunk, etc etc etc. In other words, this is realistically what the average shopper *actually* wants. So why does it look so edgy and aggressive? I’m not clear, because despite the optional turbo, the edgy looks do not indicate that "something wicked this way comes." It almost makes me wonder why Kia didn’t jam the 50+ MPG hybrid from the Niro under the hood? Afterall, if they weren’t going for "sporty driving" then they might at least have gone high-efficiency?
