1 September 2025 Giga Texas Open House, Cybercab Details & Production Line Progress, & Factory Tour!

From Joe Tegtmeyer.

I just concluded a Giga Texas factory tour during an Invite-only Open House and Pro Team Demo Day and was able to get a lot of great images of displays, new details about how the Cybercab production setup and preparation is coming along, including an explanation for what some drone flyovers have seen out at Fremont in addition to what we see here at Giga Texas, and I got a chance to talk to a lot of different people attending the event.

Displays included the Tesla Semi (and a discussion I had with one of the drivers as to their experience using the Semi and how it is currently being used at Giga Texas), Cybertrucks showing off how they can be used for commercial purposes, the full current SEXY lineup of vehicles, Cybercab #009, an original roadster, maintenance and servicing demonstrations, Test drives with FSD, product displays, a factory tour, and some swag giveaways.

Perhaps the best part of the day was getting to interact with several Tesla staff and employees and talk about everything Tesla was presenting, ask questions and see first hand demonstrations of the products on display.

Along the way, I also got a lot of great pictures of the demo day setup and main entrance, got a chance to drive through the Cybertunnel, and once again, do a factory tour. Sadly, I was not able to take images of video of the Cybertunnel or main factory tour, but I can tell you that Tesla is making great strides and is preparing for a big and impactful 2026 with many new products and production capabilities, as well as the continuation of rollout of FSD world-wide, the Robotaxi service increasing in size, locations and greater access for the public.

There are also a number of public-facing construction projects and plans underway that I will be able to talk about in more detail in the coming few weeks, and I think this will be well received by Tesla Customers and Shareholders!

I include a section of the video which dives deeper into recent observations of Cybercab related items via drone flights at Fremont as well as a discussion of what I saw during my tour of the Fremont Factory in July (now with drone images to show you what I saw) and a discussion of what is actually occurring. I also confirmed that some Cybercab crash testing is underway, which is the start of the process to gain certification for use on public roads.

Additionally, I include a brief discussion about a new Cybercab test vehicle undergoing wind tunnel testing & with numerous changes that show this is no longer a prototype, but a first level production test article!

I think all of these observations and progress with Cybercab is a very positive sign for production line setup, testing & final development activities as we near the end of the year and get ready for production ramping quickly in 2026.

Thanks to Tesla for putting on such a great event and for the outreach to military, first responders, business owners and new potential customers who have never experienced FSD or Tesla products before.
