Not only is there a new Forester for 2025 but this one comes with an all new, highly anticipated engine. Subaru now has 2 hybrid models in the lineup and the Forester is going to provide the most features and space but is the hybrid an upgrade? In short, yes! For what ends up being a modest increase in weight and the sacrifice of a spare tire you get more power, better fuel economy, and seemingly no loss in capability (you even keep the 8.7 inches of ground clearance!). The biggest downside right now is probably the lack of a Wilderness Hybrid trim level but even that may only be a matter of time. For ~$1,400 would you pony up for some extra ponies and savings at the pump?
