From Alex on Autos.
The Polestar 3 is finally rolling off the assembly lines in South Carolina and it’s now doing so with a single motor, rear wheel drive powertrain option. These changes lower cost but it doesn’t mean the Polestar has lost its spark. By removing the front motor there’s a gain of ~35 miles of driving range using the same battery as the dual motor variant. One of the most noticeable changes happens just beneath the surface as the suspension moves from an air system to a standard steel spring design that provides a sporty feel but less comfort than before.
