From Alex on Autos.
Subaru got quite a bit of criticism (and rightly so) for its foray into EVs in America. It was comfortable and quirky, but the range was unremarkable and the changing speeds were glacial. For 2026, that’s all changed because we get almost an entirely new Solterra. A new battery gives it more capacity and faster charging, new motors and inverters dramatically improved efficiency and range, and the interior gets some updates to make it… well, less weird frankly.
