Mazda CX-60 diesel review

Unlike most carmakers who are rushing out new EVs seemingly every week, Mazda is taking things at a more leisurely pace. In recent times it has been focusing on hybrids and has even developed a brand new diesel engine.

The 6e is the start of a change, though. Mazda has developed an EV before, the MX-30, but the 6e is more of a concerted effort to build an EV. It’s not a traditional Mazda though – it has been built through a joint venture with Chinese carmaker Changan.

It’ll be arriving in the UK in summer 2026 – that’s a long time to wait, so Mazda gave me the keys to a European-spec car to have a first taste.
