We’ve probably all seen a charging station that we wouldn’t want to be at alone at night and, as EV adoption grows, this is such an important situation to address. Good amenities at a charging station are even more important at night. You want a well-lit station with bathrooms that is safe. That is exactly what Rove Charging offers at their charging station in Santa Ana, CA.
We love what Rove Charging is doing and we’ve done a bunch of videos checking out their station at various times of the day but we hadn’t been there at night. So, we stopped by Rove Charging before the sun went down and then stuck around to see how it changes as darkness falls. We were happy to see that even in the dark of night, the Rove Charging center was well-lit and they even have on-site security who patrols the property and lets people into the lounge and restrooms. Their Gelsons store closes at 8pm but there’s 24 hour access to the lounge with vending machine and water dispensers.
We also checked out a nearby EVgo and Electrify America both during the day and at night to see what the alternatives are in the area.
We definitely want to see more charging stations with more amenities in the future!
