Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!
Halloween is in the air and Tesla hosted an employee-only Frunk or Treat event this weekend and today we see a Cybertruck decked out as the Ghost Busters mobile at the north end of the EOL facility! Production is also ramping up for the Model Y’s after the weekend where many vehicles were transported off site, leaving the outbound lot mostly empty to start the week.

In the video introduction, I discuss ways I use to visually identify the Model Y Standard from the Premium as I fly the drone around and just go over the major differences between the two vehicle designs. Hopefully you will find this useful.
I also discuss the upcoming 22 October 3rd Quarter Financial Results meeting and the 6 November Shareholders meeting where voting your shares is critical to ensure Tesla can continue pressing forward to a brighter future for humanity and the company.
For the main video, we go on a grand tour of all four caissons, from the extreme far south to north of the Colorado River and along the way, we see major work nearing an end on all but one of the caissons, ironically the one closest to Giga Texas. I get a lot of requests to do a flight like this, so I hope you find it helpful.
The electrical switchyard expansion work along with connections over to the new Cortex 2 facility is really moving along quickly. One of the (currently) two expected huge transformers is now in-place on its concrete pad and catch basin, while more steel assembly, footing construction, and crated equipment deliveries are underway.
There is a new construction permit for the chiller pant for Cortex 2 and based on this and recent soil core sampling efforts, I think we may begin to see some initial construction for this plant on the west side of Cortex 2 near the water detention plant. I do not yet see this construction project, but I expect to see something definitive before the end of the year, perhaps sometime in November.
Finally, 7 Cybercabs are near the crash testing facility under covers, while I think there is at least one more inside the facility itself. This apparent work on crash testing (and other tests), along with new job positions being advertised for the Cybercab line highly suggests Tesla is nearing the point where production can begin. IN addition, almost all the production line equipment has been delivered inside the main factory and installed, and final calibration, testing and training is underway, which further drives home the idea production is near.
Lots more to see today to start off the week and ahead of the 3rd Quarter Financial Results meeting.
