Our Refresh Juniper Tesla Model Y has been such an amazing car, and quite the upgrade from the original body style. The car comes with a ton of upgrades, including a facelift on the outside. But one thing that leaves a lot to be desired is the wheel options that come with the new Model Y.
When we ordered our Launch Series Model Y, the vehicle came with any and all options, and the price was the same regardless of the configuration. In our case, we decided to go with all the options, including the upgraded $2,000 20" wheels. This upgrade usually comes with a nice style enhancement, and although on some darker colors it doesn’t look too bad, on Quicksilver, it looks awful.
I knew right away we needed a solution, and Unplugged Performance was top of mind. I have been eyeing their UP-03 Wheels for a couple years now, and this refresh Model Y was the perfect candidate for the upgrade. Although you can go with different colors and finishes, I decided gloss black would look the best on this new shiny Model Y.
Quite possibly the best part is the program UP is having, it actually makes it quite affordable to get these top of the line premium wheels at a reasonable price. The program works like this: Trade in your factory 19" or 20" wheels, and get $1,000 towards your new set. In addition, since you can keep your tires, you also save on the expense of new tires. Add in the cost avoidance of not upgrading to the 20" wheels from Tesla, and this can actually be very affordable.
Enhancing the look of your new Tesla can have the best impact with wheels. In the case of the factory options, you can do much better aftermarket. So give UP a look and take advantage of this pretty awesome program!
