We knew Volkswagen’s upcoming entry-level electric vehicle would be cheap – VW has repeated "€20,000" more times than we care to count. But we feared that would mean it would look every bit as cheap as its sticker price. It appears our fears were unfounded, though, as the all-new ID. Every1 Concept is a strong, handsome hatchback that far outshines its predecessor. This is a €20,000 electric hatchback we’d happily drive on the daily.

Chinese vehicle manufacturer Yutong will launch an electric 7.5-tonne truck in the UK during the second quarter of 2025. The Yutong T75e will be available with the option of a 100kW or 132kW battery – the latter having a range of more than 180 miles on a single charge. With an unladen chassis-cab weight of under 3,000Kg, the vehicle has been developed to be compatible with a range of body types including box, tipper, curtain side, compaction and insulated bodies with three different electric Power Take-Off (ePTO) options.

Toyota has begun selling its Bozhi 3X, a smart electric car with advanced features similar to its local rivals in China, for highly competitive prices. The top Japanese carmaker wants to attract buyers and regain market share in the world’s largest auto market. Toyota has had limited success so far with its previous electric vehicle (EV) models in a hugely competitive market dominated by local players such as Chinese EV giant BYD.
Ram has revealed details of its radically engineered 2026 1500 Ramcharger electric full-size pickup, including the vehicle’s 690-mile cruising range and 14,000-pound towing capacity. The vehicle is expected to go on sale in the second half of this year, and while prices are TBD, Ram boss Tim Kuniskis made it clear the plan is to make them competitive with gasoline and diesel pickups like the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
