In today’s video, I take the Volkswagen ID.5 Pro (Model Year 2026) on a full long-distance test of almost 600 km.
Cold temperatures, fog, wet roads, and even a complete highway closure made this trip especially challenging — but that’s exactly why real-world testing matters.
I drive my standard long-distance route, always as fast as possible, and measure:
🔹 Total trip time (including charging)
🔹 Real average speed
🔹 Consumption at 130–160 km/h
🔹 Charging stops, charging power & efficiency
🔹 Arriving SoC vs. planned SoC
🔹 How the ID.5 Pro performs vs. last week’s ID.5 GTX
Charging was slower than expected, the fog slowed me down at the start, and the detour cost time — but the final results are very interesting.
