Subaru’s best-selling model of all time is perhaps their most unlikely. Created in an era when Subaru badly needed an SUV, but didn’t have the budget, Subaru instead created what would become the iconic Outback, the station wagon crossover/SUV. Often replicated, but rarely matched, Subie’s Outback is oddly more "conformist" than ever before.
