The Kia Telluride was like a tidal wave for Kia in 2020 and the swells keep coming for the 2027 model year. This is far from a refresh, it’s the rebirth of the Telluride to compete with the likes of the Toyota Grand Highlander and it’s taken a big step up. Increasing size is only part of the equation but it’s an important one, you’ll now find a few extra inches throughout the interior thanks to a longer wheelbase and overall length. To get you, your occupants, and all those belongings going there’s a new 2.5l turbocharged 4 cylinder under the hood producing 274 hp and over 300lb ft of torque and that’s not even the best news! The hybrid option is the same engine configuration but moving from an 8 speed to a 6 speed transmission that, all together, gets you 329hp and up to 35mpg combined. It may be a few years gone from the initial big splash but the Telluride continues to rise.
