25+ Cybercabs On site! N Campus Prep, 3rd Transformer Arrives! 3 Mar 2026 Giga Texas Update(07:45AM)

From Joe Tegtmeyer.

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!

Very windy day, but glad I flew! Yesterday, Tesla began intentionally ramping up the Cybercab production line to begin testing higher volumes and work out any outstanding issues or inefficiencies as they get closer to the official kickoff of production on in April!

This may not seem like a major milestone, but I promise you the people working there see this as one and are very excited at how well it is going so far.

In the video introduction, I talk about the milestone of a jump up in production on the Cybercab line and show 14 vehicles parked at the factory exit location, 9 at the Crash Testing facility & 2 at the west End-of-Line (EOL).

I also saw Cybercabs driving onto the Tesla property from the highway and around the site, so the total number today was between 25 and 30, a new record!

Coming up in a few weeks, I will be headed to Chattanooga Tennessee for the Annual Chattanooga Charge event. This is a great event if you can attend and tickets are still available at the following link:

Not mentioned in the introduction, I have heard of hiring underway to support the Cybertruck production line and work with suppliers to prepare for increased production to coincide with the significantly increased orders prompted by the $59,990 AWD Standard Cybertruck. I expect it will take about 45 days to get everything ready to meet deliveries expected to begin round June.

In addition to 25+ Cybercabs all over the site today, we see continued work on the far north preparing the North Campus construction site, where more clearing of debris from the soil is taking place, dirt is being moved to different parts of the site, and we see new dirt movement on the top of the linear hills in the old sand and gravel mine areas of this location. The concrete cleanup work is also continuing, making significant progress.

The River Road extension project is making progress, and work on the east side to allow for the northward bend shows more grade work. On the south end, the intersection with Robotic Avenue and River Road shows more definition, while crews continue work on the wastewater pipe extension that connects to Cortex 2.

At Cortex 2, we see additional work on the chiller plant part 1, where it is gaining 2 more fans on the top while crews finish connections to the temporary cooling units on 17 trailers. This temporary system is designed to accelerate the startup of computer training and will augment the plant until both parts are completed and operational.

A big development today at the electrical switchyard with the delivery of the 3rd huge transformer for the massive electrical switchyard expansion project. I was able to get clear views of the massive trailer that brought this transformer in and crews were setting up the rails that will be used to slide the transformer onto the concrete support slab and catch basin.

Nearby, a new A-frame has been erected while farther north, crews were preparing to set up a second A-frame.

On the far southwest of the property near the west Warehouse on Wheels (WOW) yard, crews were increasing the pace of grade repurposing to prepare for what I am hearing will be a new test track. A new construction fence has been erected, separating off the work area from the part being used to store materials.

Pond reclamation with dirt fill was evident and what “might” be the initial outlines of what looks like an oval track. I’ll continue to monitor this to see how things develop on the ground and if I can find additional clues.
