36+ Cybercabs, Test Track Emerges, & N Construction Expands! 25 Mar 2026 Giga Texas Update (07:45AM)

From Joe Tegtmeyer.

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!

Today started out cloudy but as the sun began to break through, the winds began picking up but not too dramatically so that I was able to get in a full flight over most of the entire property, which was great because construction is expanding to use more and more of the site!

In the video introduction, I discuss in detail the three major construction projects underway at the site today, beginning on the far southwest where the test track complex is coming together quickly. It appears three main track surfaces plus an entry/access roadway to the three tracks are being built.

There remains a central infield location with two small ponds and perhaps this will be an off roading track for Cybertruck in addition to the paved tracks. Time will tell, but at the pace they are moving along, this complex might be completed enough for use by the end of April … and if this is true, who knows, but perhaps this would be a great location to debut the new Roadster?

I also discuss the expanding construction site on the far north in the large rectangular field. It seems crews are taking advantage of the already flat surface to quickly prepare the grade. Silt fences are in place, and the earthmoving equipment was quite active at the time of my drone flight.

Nearby, the concrete crushing operation continues to make large piles of crushed concrete, recovered rebar and other materials that were all jumbled together in the discarded material field just northeast of the battery cathode plant.

The third construction site we visit today is where the new Advanced Technology Fab building will be constructed on the far east side. Some equipment movement is observed today along with more demolition work of structures in the areas of the River Road extension and the footprint of the new building.

Several months of work remains to move equipment, trailers, workshops, vehicles and the main recycling yard, along with grade preparation before construction of this new facility can begin.

I wrap up the intro with a discussion about a new post by Elon Musk about a new vehicle coming out that is more exciting than a minivan. Is this a new vehicle based on the Model Y. the Cybertruck or the Robovan, or did he mean the Roaster? Perhaps there is a completely new model that will be coming out … who knows, but it was a post that was a bit out of the blue this morning!

Finally, I mention a change in schedule for Giga Texas over the next two weeks, with Model Y and Cybertruck production stopping for line upgrades and maintenance, but I do not know if this affects Cybercab production over the same time. Next week is April, so production is very near now, assuming Tesla is still on target to launch this new vehicle!

Around the site, I also noticed a heightened level of Cybercab activity, with 12 parked in the outbound lot (next to some Model Y’s for a good scale comparison), several driving around, 11 at the factory exit point and about a dozen more around & in the crash testing facility.
