This extraordinary self-build castle is being constructed using a remarkable combination of cutting-edge clean tech — from woodcrete insulation blocks and solar roof tiles, to a vertical wind turbine, 204 kWh of battery storage, and a direct DC car charger fed straight from the batteries! And it’s aiming for zero energy bills!
One of the most exciting discoveries in this episode is Tewke, a brand new smart home operating system built around intelligent switches that replace your existing ones. Tewke knows which rooms are occupied using intelligence to automate lighting, heating, and energy use around how you actually live and customers are already saving around 30% on their energy bills before making any other home changes!
