Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!

I did a late drone flight today because of the effects of heavy rains and thunderstorms over the weekend and earlier this morning, but by the time I flew, the conditions and visibility greatly improved. What I was able to capture today showed a site that was busy with construction and production across all product lines was also happening today!

Today we get to see about 53 Cybercabs in 3 different groups and driving around on the Giga Texas outbound lot today & a dozen more at crash testing, with one showing a potential rollover test that was recently completed.

Production of both the Cybertruck & Model Ys was also underway this morning, with some Cybertrucks driving through the Cybertunnel, and several Model Ys exiting the west side of the factory near the main entrance. This was the first time in a while that I saw all product lines seem to be in some phase of operation today!

On the far north end of Giga Texas, GeoPier construction, grade and foundation work continues today, with ever more of the main foundation seeing heavy work and the overall shape is emerging. Interestingly, the south end continues to see what appears to be a lowering of the graded area under where the foundation will be. I also show some high-altitude drone views to put into better context all the work underway and where this is in reference to the main factory and developed area of the site. These views were helped a great deal by the brightly lit morning!

Since this is the site of the new 10M per year Tesla Optimus factory, I expect to see construction here throughout this year and into 2027 along with supporting infrastructure and as I understand it, initial production is planned for the end of 2027 and into 2028, so the pace of work now is essential to meet these goals.

There was more Giga Texas construction underway today, in two other areas the first of which is at the far southwest corner where the new test track continues to make progress. All driving surfaces have been treated with an oil-based spray ahead of asphalt paving which I think may happen this week! This is something I’ll keep an eye on!

Another construction site is at the southeastern corner near the Colorado River where the River Road extension, storm water pond, and the beginnings of grade work and materials relocation for the new Advanced Technology chip fabrication building work is underway.
