We’ve been driving EVs in Italy for years, and the picture is changing — just not as fast as it needs to. Half the country lives in apartments. Chargers are scarce outside the north. And the most iconic Italian electric car costs twice as much as a Chinese rival. But with €4,900 EVs, pent-up demand, and a charging rollout finally picking up pace, are there reasons to be cheerful?
