HOW TO INSPECT YOUR OUTLET:
FIRST: Disconnect the circuit breaker that feeds your EV outlet.
SECOND: Remove the faceplate and carefully look inside.
THIRD: Check for any discoloration, browning, melting, charring, or loose wires. (if you see any of these problems, immediately stop using that outlet and call an electrician).
FOURTH: If everything is okay, put everything back together.
FIFTH: Re-energize the circuit.
SIXTH: Start a charging session and during that charge (about 30 minutes in), feel the outlet and plug – they should only be slightly warm, never TOO hot to touch.
