We sent Sterling to Outside Days in Denver to cover Aboard’s media launch while I was stuck in Utah and the Pebble RV was back at our North Carolina office. This was Sterling’s first solo shoot for Out of Spec, and he absolutely crushed it.
In this video, Sterling takes a detailed look at the T4, Aboard’s four-person range-extended travel trailer, and explores the technology that sets it apart from a conventional RV. He walks through the exterior and interior features, including the clamshell tailgate deck, dual side entrances, motorized awning, powered leveling jacks, modular living space, convertible queen bed, panoramic glass, and spacious bathroom.
The T4 packs some impressive hardware as well, including a 41 kWh LFP battery, a 40 kW powered axle for tow assist, a quiet 60 kW onboard generator with a 13-gallon fuel tank, roughly 1.2 kW of solar, and 240V power output. Sterling also takes a closer look at Aboard’s automotive-inspired unibody construction and the engineering philosophy behind the trailer.
One feature we couldn’t fully decipher on-site was the automated waste-dumping system, but we discuss what we learned and where we still have questions.
