From Down at the barns.
What makes someone spend years restoring Morris Minors… and then suddenly buy a giant American pickup truck from eBay?
For decades, Suzanne has been restoring and preserving classic cars. Her work was featured in local newspapers and even Practical Classics magazine long before YouTube and social media existed.
But in 2020, during lockdown, something unusual caught her eye online.
A 1946 Studebaker M5 pickup truck.
A rare right-hand-drive South African export model, sitting 150 miles away in Wiltshire.
She knew almost nothing about Studebakers.
She bought it anyway.
What followed was a journey of breakdowns, repairs, long-distance road trips, unexpected setbacks, and eventually driving a 75-year-old American pickup around the Brands Hatch circuit.
This is Suzanne’s Classic Car Story.
