It’s time for a Z showdown!

We’ve got our hands on a Datsun 240Z, a Nissan 350Z, 370Z & 400Z, and Mat’s about to put them up against each other to see which is his favourite!

Not only will he be reviewing their exteriors, interiors and what they’re like to drive, he’ll also be putting all four up in a drag race! The question is, which will come out on top? Let’s take a closer look at the stats…

Starting with the Datsun 240Z, it’s powered by a 2.4-litre 6-cylinder that produces 153hp and 198Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 5-speed manual gearbox, and it’s by far the lightest car here, at just 1,068kg.

We then leap from 1974 to 2005 for the 350Z. It’s powered by a 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6, which produces 300hp and 363Nm, thanks to a NISMO S tune being applied. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, and the vehicle weighs 1,465kg.

In 2009, the 370Z was released. This housed a 3.7-litre NA V6 under the bonnet, which put down 331hp and 366Nm. It also comes equipped with a 6-speed manual, which sends the power to the rear wheels, and it weighs in at 1,496kg.

Finally, we come to the 400Z, which was released in 2023. It’s equipped with a 3-litre twin-turbo V6, and this creates 406hp and 475Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual, and it’s the heaviest car here, at 1,604kg.

So will it be an easy win for the newer 400Z? Or could one of the older cars snatch it? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
