A solid-state battery that already works today.
Presented at CES in Las Vegas, Donut Lab says its battery delivers:
Up to 400 Wh/kg energy density
Extreme temperature resistance from −30 °C to +100 °C
Over 99% usable capacity even in extreme conditions
Up to 100,000 charge cycles
No lithium, no fire risk, and very high safety
Ultra-fast charging, theoretically up to full charge in minutes
The battery is already installed in a working motorcycle, charging at up to 150 kW, though many questions remain — especially regarding scalability for electric cars.
