Cybercab Extravaganza, New Construction SW, E & N & ATD Lab! 27 Feb 2026 Giga Texas Update (07:55AM)

From Joe Tegtmeyer.

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!

Another beautiful day to fly today and despite it not a production day, there was a lot of activity, especially with Cybercab testing and expanded construction projects all over the site!

In the video introduction, I talk about the overwhelming response to the Standard AWD Cybertruck, and how it has far and away exceeded the expectations of Tesla. This trim level and price of $59,990 appears to have hit the sweet spot and deliveries are now pushed will past the summer of 2027!

Referral links are no longer accepted for this trim level and this promotional offer ends on 1 March where prices are expected to increase. One good advantage of placing your order and deposit now, is that this locks in FSD transfers even if delivery is in 2027. Presently, this is the only way beyond 31 March 2026 to transfer FSD from an older car to a new Tesla.

I also talk about extensive Cybercab testing going on at the factory today, with deliveries of body panel Molds on the north end of the factory, Cybercabs coming off the highway and driving around the east side of the factory and entering into the production line exit receiving door, and 6 new Cybercabs at the crash testing facility for tests.

Finally, I mention my recent interview with Herbert Ong on his “Brighter with Herbert” channel and out discussions about my factory tour of the Cybercab production line, Cortex 1 and 2, Optimus and a new manufacturing facility under construction on the north end of the Giga Texas property and Robotaxi. In the main video, I discuss the new Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) installation in the “High Bay” part of the factory which is an important part of the overall Cybercab production line. I show you where this is located on the roof of the main factory and the accompanying permit.

I also discuss the River Road extension and wet pond construction project and show where this is under construction and how it fits in with the new “North Campus” construction site.

This project extends River Rd from the S & SE of the main factory along the Colorado River, all the way to the far N where a new "North Campus" is under construction. The project improvements include construction of a 1.83 mile 4-lane divided roadway extension of River Rd, a wet drainage pond that outfalls to the Colorado River & the roadway will connect with a new Harold Green Rd on the N end of the site.

The anticipated total impervious cover is 14.7 acres (36%), the wet pond is designed to detain above the required 2-year storm event & provides water quality treatment. The inflow area to the wet pond is 91.2 acres. This project is also adjacent to & will define the Riverpark Ecological site that ultimately will be open to the public.
