From Out of Spec Podcast.
We brought together a group of EV camping enthusiasts to share their real-world experiences: Tom, who tows a Keystone Coleman 13R with his Ford F-150 Lightning; Alan, who pulls a 32-foot camper (8,000 lbs loaded, with 4,000 miles of towing last year) using a Ford F-150 Lightning Flash; Eric, driving a 2025 Rivian R1T Tri Max (about 400 miles of range solo and ~180 miles while towing a 25-foot Airstream); Austin, camping in a Tesla Model Y with a rear tent setup; and Skye, traveling in an eSprinter cargo van equipped with custom bunk beds and an EcoFlow system.
We dive into real-world EV towing, covering range, aerodynamics, inverters, Pro Power Onboard, crosswinds, insulation, and the gear that actually made weekend trips manageable—or, at times, frustrating.
