Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!
Another early morning flight in perfect conditions to see an amazing sunrise while also getting unique views inside the south and west sides of the main factory. It is obvious that a lot of work has been done inside the factory adding floors, mezzanines, equipment and work stations to support the Cybercab production, but we are only able to see a fraction of the true amount of changes that have been made (and continue to be made) in the factory to support an April 2026 Cybercab production launch.

In the video introduction, I discuss the interior views I was able to get today because of the early flight & the excellent lighting, both inside and during the vivid, multi-colored sunrise.
I also talk about the work at Cortex 2, with more transformers being installed on both sides of the main facility now, and the continued work on the chiller system, concrete walls & manifold mounts on the east side of the building. We also see more roof ventilation ducts being added while more areas around the facility show piles in place and ready to further expand the number of transformers that will be installed. Indeed, we can see hoe more are left to be installed by the staged transformers just to the northeast of the Cathode plant.
A few other items of note:
The east clearing and underground water management corrugated steel pipe installation work continues, and I think we should begin to see more final grade work underway soon, once the water management pipes are fully installed. Because these are steel pipes, I think we will see them covered by the River Road extension through the south and southeast parts of the site, near the trees and where the River park Eco Park will be constructed.
The electrical switchyard steel assembly work continues, with another large A-Frame being constructed this morning. These A-Frames will carry the high-tension wires that will bring in the electricity needed for the large transformers and down the line, power Cortex 2. Some cabling is being run through the installed underground conduit this morning too and in addition, through the connecting tunnel between the two large underground vaults on the south end of the switchyard.
On the far southwest side, the canvas tent structure that has been here for most of 2025 is being disassembled today, with the walls almost completely removed and all interior items now gone. As the pace they are operating, I suspect the entire tent structure will be gone by my next flight, or at the latest, early next week.
