Is the new solid state battery from Donut Lab the end of petrol?

From Electric Classic Cars.

It’s time to talk about what could be the biggest step forward in battery technology in a very long time. The new solid state battery from Donut Lab, which they claim is the "World’s first all solid state battery in production vehicles". Is it the gamechanger people think it is or is it just an evolution of a battery technology that’s already available. Are Donut Labs headline grabbing statements backed up by independent testing?

To discuss all this we’re going to have a chat with a leading battery chemist, Dr Euan McTurk, from Pluglife Television Youtube channel.

We’re going to chat about the continuing Donut Lab Youtube series ‘Idonutbelieve’ where they have employed VTT, a Finnish independent test lab, to put their solid state cells through their paces and hopefully prove some of Donut Labs claims below:

400Wh/Kg energy density
0-100% charge in 5 minutes
100,000 charge cycles
Extremely safe
Not made using lithium or any other rare or geopolitically sensitive resources.
