From News Coulomb.
I’ve been walking through my DIY solar system, correcting issue and upgrading components. I recently upgraded the input power to my Anker Solix f3800, which is now being fed by 27 A of current from solar panels. Typically, a constant current of 27 A would require at least 10 AWG cables, so I ordered a "10 AWG" XT60 cable. The XT60 connector itself is rated for 60 A, but the cables I received were only 4mm^2, which is only 12 AWG. That is too small to safely carry 27 A of continuous current, but it also appears that XT60 connectors are limited to only 12 AWG.
I’m putting this out there to forewarn people about scams selling undersized current as well as to get the communities’ take on a 60 A rating for the XT60 format.
