From Battery Life.
Description:
This is a real-world highway range test of the Mini Cooper E with the 36.6 kWh battery, driven at a constant 110 km/h (GPS) in winter conditions.
After seeing that 130 km/h is simply too fast for this car due to its small battery and limited DC charging power, I repeated the test at 110 km/h to see how much range can realistically be gained.
Before the drive, I also take a look at the charging curve, charging time to 80%, and peak DC power.
Test setup & conditions:
– Constant 110 km/h (GPS)
– Winter conditions (≈ 5 °C)
– Winter tires (17", 195)
– Heat pump active
– Climate control 21 °C (later reduced)
– Green driving mode
– Charged to 80% before the test
