Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!
Heavy rains came through the area overnight, making most of the construction areas mud pits today. This makes work on site preparation in major locations around the site difficult, but that doesn’t mean no work was underway … the opposite was true.

In the video intro, I talk about work on the new test track is beginning to show what may be an oval shape emerging and possibly raised berm around the corners and high-speed sections of the track, possibly giving the road surface bank straights and corners to allow higher speeds.
Other work included expansion on the east side, more materials and equipment being moved out to allow construction and preparation for possibly filling in the rest of the central pond.
The North Campus site prep also continues today and seems to be expanding across three fields and where the concrete crushing operation have made a gigantic mount of aggregate and another huge pile of rebar. Cleaning of the soil by removing tree and other debris continues and several other areas with similar debris are being prepared for more of the same.
The final major construction project I discuss in the intro today is the River Road extension work which seems to have mostly completed on the southeast corner and now has shifted to the far northeast side near the battery cathode plant. Here, crews are flattening hills and valleys, removing trees and defining the pathway that will lead to the lone tree field.
On the west side and in the outbound lot, we see more testing Cybercabs being lined up at the for transport offsite today, with around 16 ready to go. These are the testing versions that are wrapped, have steering wheels and pedals and provisions for exterior side mirrors. and another ~dozen at crash testing. We also see more Cybercabs at the crash testing facility, with some having been moved inside to actual testing underway today.
