Volkswagen has announced the new VW ID.3 Neo facelift, and it brings some major changes to the ID lineup. The updated ID.3 will introduce new hardware, new software (ID Software 6.0), real steering wheel buttons, vehicle-to-load (V2L), a digital key and even an app store.
Many of these features will later also appear in the Volkswagen ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7 model year update, although the ID.3 Neo will receive the biggest visual and technical changes.
In this video I explain all the new features and technology coming to the VW ID family, including:
• ID Software 6.0 with Android Automotive integration
• New app store for video, audio, charging and gaming apps
• Digital key directly on your smartphone
• Real steering wheel buttons replacing haptic controls
• Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) with 3.6 kW output
• One-pedal driving for rear-wheel drive models
• New LFP battery and more efficient motor for the base model
• Interior updates expected for the facelift
I will see the new ID.3 Neo in person at the end of March, with the official premiere expected in mid-April.
